Some of you may have or may not have heard about a guy named Josh Hoopes. If you know his name I am sure I don't have to tell you what this guy is all about but if you don't Josh Hoopes is a con man who has taken to scamming people out of money by pretending to be comic artists. Most notably he has commited complete identity theft of the comics legend Arthur Adams. Very recently the writer of R&R Comics many webcomics Jamie Cottle took to doing a Pwnage of this scamming piece of crap. [link] He fooled the guy but mainly made a fool of him but the fact is that this guy is far worse than just this little interview. Unscrewed a comic creators legal assistance website has a nice article on him that lists many other links to his continued actions about this guy written by Rich Johnston of Comic Book Resources. [link] Just today at one of my sites I like to visit often Digital Webbing another poor guy posted about his misfortune to be scammed out of a large sum of money from him. [link] So needless to say I'm rather beyond pissed that this guy is getting away with this kind of garbage. I think the comic community needs to rally up against this guy and if any of you pros know Art Adams get him involved as a case of Identity Theft. I am very angry at this guy and I think anyone who works in the comics field or even enjoys the medium should be and would want to be involved. I urge everyone to spread the word about this guy and put him behind bars!
